Preventing Disease
PolioPlus helps fight more than polio. Health workers deliver vaccines for multiple diseases and respond to outbreaks like Ebola and yellow fever using the polio surveillance network. In high-risk areas, they even provide malaria bed nets during vaccination campaigns.
Providing Clean Water
To build trust and support vaccination efforts, Rotary installs solar-powered boreholes that bring clean, safe water to underserved communities—helping address essential needs alongside health care.
Creating Jobs
Polio survivors are empowered through entrepreneurship and employment. Some manufacture mobility tricycles, while others work as health educators or vaccinators—giving back to their communities while building independence.

PolioPlus strengthens local health systems by training thousands of health workers and enhancing disease tracking infrastructure. These improvements help communities tackle a wide range of health issues—not just polio.
